Friday – May 7, 2021

We are having a spell of perfect, cool nights. The horses are not bothered by flies, and we awoke to a peaceful morning herd.

I took this picture before Harry and Weedy woke up.

Bart, too, looked quite cute sleeping.

There isn’t much to blog about, with much of the day taken up by chores, not very exciting. Roscoe helped me in the garden.

Our good friends, Jonee and Bob, came by for a visit, which was a lot of fun. They arrived with a magnificent amaryllis couched in impatiens.

Our afternoon with Jonee and Bob was bittersweet, as they are moving to Bloomington, Indiana, downsizing from their beautiful country home in Pike County after more than forty years. The move will be wrenching, but there are good times ahead, and new adventures to relish. I expect we will make a road trip in that direction once they are settled in.

Sorry I didn’t take many pictures today. I did plant three trees, for which my back is suffering. In closing, here is Oisin in the evening light.

Stay safe, stay well. Peace.

  1. Just how old are they in years as the downsizing occurs? I think about it myself. What sort of new pad have they picked? Why Indiana? I think you better send me a special email. This is important info
