It was a lazy morning, and all was well. The zebra in the pasture was picturesque. Horses have excellent night vision, so I guess Oisin found his way around in the dark despite the mask.
There were plenty of birds, including flocks of goldfinches. I did see a hummingbird, but the picture continues to elude me.
NOT a hummingbird!
Weedy went for his morning adventure, and Harry promised a trip to town when he returned. He wasn’t gone long.
I saw the skink checking out the ramp wall for a sunbathing spot. I wasn’t able to get it actually basking, but I did see it, and some younger, blue striped ones fully out and enjoying the sunshine later.
The Pearl Brothers got their beauty sleep. Stone’s tummy is on its way to healing.
Jane and I rode, and then she helped me school Stone through a gymnastic, something that is fairly new to him. He was very good. We will try again tomorrow.
A bit of a left drift, but he jumps way high!
Doing some outdoor chores, I liked this view of the D. Claudia memorial. Licorice came over to the barn toward the end of the day, not quite as artistic, but she is a lovely cat.
The elusive Licorice
Nathaniel came to do some mowing, and helped fix the little raised bed to keep the cats and dogs out of it. I moved the horses into the north pasture this evening, and they were very happy for the change.
The fringe tree is blooming and wafting fragrance everywhere.
Stay safe, stay well. Peace.
