First, a correction. These blogs are thrown together in the evenings, and sometimes I get some facts wrong. When people point that out, I make corrections. I had to make a pretty significant correction to last night’s blog. Harry’s very first hound sculptures were plaster, not papier mâche, as I initially wrote. And it was to make those hounds that he sought out the artist, Robert Walker, who helped him get started making bronzes. This error was only pointed out to me this evening. I forgot to run his own story by Harry before publication. Oops.
Well, speaking of sculpture, today Denny Reagan left the studio with Vlad and Misha. It’s always a bit traumatic to see the sculpture dismembered. Today, they cut off the head, which was disconcerting but necessary. Now the clay has gone to VMD Sculpting in St. Louis, where Vlad and Misha will work their magic, transforming Harry’s creation into an actual bronze sculpture
The dogs watched the proceedings from behind the gate.

The horses enjoyed the beautiful day, as did we all. Harry and Weedy went to town to run errands, and they stopped at Starbucks for a pup cup, of course!
The croci (which is, of course, the correct plural of crocus, another mistake I made recently, though I think crocuses is colloquial and easier to say than croci) are exuberant today after several days of refusing to open because of the rain and gloom.
Be of good cheer! Stay safe, stay well. Peace.
Oh la la ! croci ! My first lesson of the day. I believe I saw some daffodils (or do you say jonquils) behind Misha ? Here, in the great white North, we are still under piles of old snow. The muscari and tulips are a long way away. Meanwhile a friend sent us photos of our garden in France, which is very green indeed. The mimosa is in full yellow glory. We are sorry to miss that, and nowhere being able to travel there.
