My brother, Jamie, has been gone a year today. His nickname was Jamie Danger, for his fearless exploits on skis. He was a silly, brave, and kind man, my little brother.
It was cold again today, and riding was not an option, but I did hop on Oisin for fun this afternoon. Three time Pinto World Champion Jumper, and the best horse in the herd for climbing on bareback, which is a higher distinction.
The sunshine was inviting, but it was not as pleasant as it looked outside. Harry and I went crashing through the woods looking for Weedy, suspecting he may have found a dead deer. His GPS tracker has been showing him hanging around a particular area of the woods to our east. No luck finding anything. As soon as he saw us coming, Weedy ran for home.
Sunny but cold Weedy on the porch
It was cold enough that the cats spent much of the day in the tack room.

Roscoe visited the barn, but found sunshine on the windowsill in the house more pleasant.
The birds were hungry and very entertaining today.

Be safe, be well. Peace.
The Blue Jay in the last photo looks much like a penguin. Adorable. I’m sure glad you both are not too stressed, or are you, about Weedy’s adventures. Oisin and you look good sans tack! And, Jamie, I would have liked him a lot. Happy Horses, Happy Days❤️🏇
Great picture of you. Thanks Anne.
Your yard looks like a veritable Community Center for those birds! I love to see them all sitting or in action both
