After turning the horses out this morning, I spent some time attending to things in the house. I missed seeing Marianne’s smile, as she returned to barn work, but it was certainly a pleasure to find she had been here!
The day started with ice on the path to the barn. Harry and I learned our lessons on the dangers of ice last year, so we give it a wide berth, detouring over the grass.
I took a few minutes to get some bird pictures.
The always welcome splashes of color Pileated woodpecker Outta here! Love those white underwings! Mockingbird Mockingbird strutting
Roscoe was in and out, here he was in the house, but out of it.
The horses had another day in the paddocks. Tomorrow, the deep freeze will allow them to go out in the pasture. It will be too cold for mud.
Harry worked in the studio, then rested on the couch, surrounded by dogs. When not lolling with Harry, Weedy helps keep Mistletoe warm.
Harry is happy in his work Harry loves his dogs Weedy and Mistletoe
As the sun was going down, it threw beautiful light onto the eastern woods.
In closing, a view to the west…
Stay safe, stay well. Treasure every day. Peace.
Wow! The “View to the West” could be anywhere, made me think of Florida! Which sounds pretty good right now facing these extreme winter temps coming up.
