Poor Harry couldn’t have breakfast, because today was his scheduled cataract surgery. I turned horses out into the paddocks, and took some early morning bird pictures, then we were off to St. Luke’s Hospital.
The patient awaiting surgery…
And after surgery…
All went well. We stopped and picked up lunch from St. Louis Bread Company as a treat, and topped it off with Laura Marlow’s incredible pumpkin bread (almost pumpkin cake) for dessert. This delicacy had arrived yesterday evening via UPS from faraway St. Louis CWE. I think it will certainly speed healing.
Tom Morris was wild this morning, showing off his tree climbing. By late afternoon, he was worn out.
From Montana, Nancy sent adorable pictures of Rainy and Honey, who are best friends.
Finally, clouds and contrails in this evening’s sky were dramatically pink. Later, at night check, the stars were astonishingly clear and bright in the cloudless vault. Harry will enjoy the sights, tomorrow, when his patch comes off. We will be crossing back over the river to St. Luke’s in the morning.
Stay safe, stay well, see clearly. Peace.
Was it the same doctor that Jane had? Hope he is feeling alright considering. Your bird photos this year are spectacular! Any side effects of your covid shots?
Not the same doctor Jane had – and quite a different procedure.
No side effects from the vaccination – they say sometimes the second one causes more reaction. We shall see!
