The second half of the Old Ladies Horse Showing adventure was stymied by computer issues, which I addressed when I returned. Then, I was so tired I couldn’t blog, and THEN my brother Michael visited, so I have waited until Wednesday to catch up. At present, I am in the dermatologist’s office for what might be several hours, having a Mohs procedure on my nose. It’s not very pleasant, but it does give me time at the computer!
For starters, here is Saturday’s round. Bart was very good, once he finished spooking at the guy with a rake in the corner, but we were not lucky – another four fault round…
And the final video Sunday – the Adult Jumper Classic – again just a little unlucky, four faults, finishing in 9th, just out of the ribbons. The fastest four vaulter was 8th, and we were second fastest. The disadvantage of an Old Lady rider.
I hope these embedded videos work. I haven’t tried this method before.
Another post will follow as the day progresses.
Be safe, be well, wear sunscreen or a hat. Slava Ukraini! Peace.
Congratulations! You tried and succeeded in having a good time out of town with friends and horses. How much better does life get?
It was a wonderful time, Janis! We are so lucky to participate in a show at that level. Looking forward to seeing you before long, maybe at Happenstance…
Lovely to see you and Bart in action. Something I always wanted to do!
Yay! Thanks for sharing. I loved hearing your hoofbeats! It sounded like you were galloping around inside of a church.
I was clucking the whole way lol.
Perhaps Bart might practice galloping for 2-5 minutes at a time more frequently? You looked fabulous. Sounds like a fine adventure was had, well done!
Finally we have had a few days of sun in MI. I’m wearing my sunscreen, bug spray, and hat for the next 5 months yiippeee.
Slava Ukraini! Peace, L
Anne, this is the first time I’ve seen a complete jumping performance. It was beautiful! You and Bart were so graceful. You were both wonderful!
Brava and beautiful! Such an adventure!
It was just like watching you show the last time I would have seen you ride- maybe 25 years ago? You haven’t lost any of your skills. Well done!
BRAVO!!! My gosh he looks fun to ride!! I want on!!
