Life, even here in the country, was overshadowed by chaos in Washington D.C., and although I try to abstain from political discussion here, I cannot deny that this was a disgrace. We are living in interesting times indeed, and I hope we will all get beyond them into uneventful days, where birds and horses provide the interest. Enough of politics and pandemic.
Here is a distraction for you. The birds don’t know, the horses are unconcerned with our anxieties about the government. The dogs, unfortunately, can sense our troubles. My tears are a giveaway, although they are getting accustomed to those. The cats don’t care. So here are some pictures.
It was cloudy to start today, but the sun did make an appearance, which was appreciated by the horses.
I forgot, yesterday, to mention that Rosie has appeared to be suffering from a urinary tract infection. Thanks to Marilyn, she began meds last night, and seems to be a bit better already.

Cedar basking in the January sun…
Nancy asked if Marmalade, who is now getting quite tame, still has Marm alarms. Well, they are not quite as intense, but here he goes this evening (on the way to dinner, so maybe not a real “alarm”).
And here is Marmalade after dinner, not very alarmed at all…
The dogs have endured several hours of our television obsessed afternoon and evening (still going on).
Let us all sleep like Weedy!
Stay safe, stay well, and stay away from conspiracy theories.
Cedar nails it. I just hang out in the bathtub while Ted watches the insanity on tv.
Your birds are the best, thanks!
Thank goodness for the sanity (and beauty) of animals!
