Today is the last day of Central Standard Time. Tonight we lose an hour, springing forward into Daylight Saving, where I wish we could stay. I have neglected to blog, as there hasn’t been much excitement here (never a bad thing).
Jane and I have ridden and jumped, but haven’t taken pictures. And then we returned to winter weather yesterday and today.
We had a lovely, warm fire yesterday.
Before the snow, which was happily less significant than expected, the signs of Spring were increasing. The Peepers have gone back to sleep, but they will be singing again soon. The lengthening days provide some optimism now.
Marianne provides optimism with her smile and hard work, especially appreciated on cold days.
Licorice and Marmalade relax after their evening meal in the shed on Thursday, before the snow.
With no riding yesterday, I went over to Jane’s house for a visit. Bobby has had his glucose sensor removed. He is a very sweet cat, which is unfortunate, because he is a diabetic and sweets are contraindicated! Clover hid her face at that joke…
Back home, there was this sweet sight.
And here is what you have been waiting for – birds!!
And finally, my favorite sight every day…
Be safe, be well, be stronger than you think you can be. Peace.
Love the flicker dance!
There us much ado in the news about how to “adjust” to daylight savings time. Mostly it’s a non event for me because I am so happy to have the extra evening light. When you think about it too hard you might realize time itself is rather made up anyway. Who says it’s 6am or pm.? Some random person, that’s who!
I like this!!!
I can’t wait to show the bird pics to Joey!!! Love seeing your blog posts ❤️
Your bird lessons are working! I’ve noticed and have begun to recognize several, such as the Mockingbird the other day, around here! Yea!!! Aren’t they entertaining? The unperturbed Cardinal, to bad our current Cardinal, i. e. the Pope could not possibly be so unperturbed. And, Weedy, oh my, the best exhausted beastie, such hard work around the Bronze Fox Farm, all those errands. Love the comradeship of the orange cats, not the best lexicon considering our currnet times with a comrad, old soviet, tyrant on the rampage! I so enjoy your blogs and the photos, Anne, Thank you!!!!
Bird learning is a great challenge isn’t it? These snaps help a lot!
Missed you Anne.
Great photos
I guess you miss the extra light for morning chores, Anne?
(And you sure that isn’t a ‘Spring Beauty’ in the Lemon Tree?)
