I’ve been away from the blog for a few days, but out of the saddle for a few weeks. Today, at long last, Jane and I were able to ride. It’s a brief delight, with inclement weather, including a winter storm, looming, but today was wonderful, and we feel fortunate.
There hasn’t been much to blog about for the past few days. The snow has tried to melt during the day, but nights have been very cold.
Today, the temperature got to 64 degrees, but there is still snow in places.
Yesterday, I mentioned to the horses that it might be possible to ride today. They were quite astonished.
In the meantime, I did take a few bird pictures.
Bart rested in the warm sunshine, hoping he would not have to go to work.
Oisin rolled, hoping to win the grooming award. All the horses were quite filthy. Bart lost to a three way tie between Derry, Oisin and Stone for most muck.
Just to prove we rode, Jane and I took pictures by a jump with the last of the snow as a groundline on the north side.
Harry and Weedy rest at the end of a busy day.
Be safe, be well. Peace.
Thank you…what a beautiful endearing bunch of photos that I (Susan’s sister) I am going to share with my family down here in Pereira, Colombia! merci
Oh, thank you, Teenie! I am looking forward to seeing Susan and Sophia next week out here.
