It was a surprise to find a beautiful morning after a miserable, wet Thursday. Bart took advantage of the change and spent more than an hour sleeping in the sun.
I had to rush off to the doctor to be assured that I am in remarkable health, despite feeling rather creakier than I think I should. The only bad news was that I am shorter than last year, and ten pounds heavier!
Meanwhile, Harry was stressed with a sculpture approval visit. The way the sculpture business works is that a client pays to initiate a project, then pays again at “approval of the original art”, and final payment is made on installation. The St. Louis Muny Opera president, Denny Reagan, is being honored with a sculpture, so today he and several other people trekked out here from St. Louis to see the sculpture in clay. It is always a worry, that there might be problems, but today everyone was thrilled, and the only adjustments were minor. I arrived back just in time to meet the group and hear their enthusiasm. I never doubted it, but Harry always stresses, which is one of the reasons he is so good at what he does.
Denny Reagan is extraordinarily nice, and it is no surprise that he is being honored with a sculpture. I did not have my good camera, so I snapped a picture with my phone.
It was a hectic day, with several projects, and by the time I returned in hopes of riding, the rain had returned. I did get some bird pictures, though I have had a complaint that I am taking too many avian images.

The dogs get very excited about being released from the house after lunch. Today, I tried to get a picture of them exploding out the door, but with limited success.
Altogether, a good day. Approval from the doctor, approval from the sculpture client, approval from the trailer dealer. The horse trailer is serviced and ready for action. Horse shows await in the not too distant future!
Stay safe, stay well, stay dry – we are promised a wet weekend, alas. Peace.
Never too many bird pictures! Love the dogs exploding out of the door. Congratulations on approvals. 🙂
So happy you got a good report from the Doctor.
Anne! Only the birds might complain about too many bird pictures because posing is tiring! But I am learning a lot seeing these pictures besides just saying “there goes a bird”.
