I was horse showing twenty years ago, when the first plane hit the tower. I called Harry, who turned on the TV at home in Bowling Green, and saw the second plane hit the other tower. It was a beautiful, clear blue sky day here, just like New York. Jane had just returned from England.

Before it was light, a van full of Mexican roofers arrived, unloaded, and prepared to get to work. As I write this, 14 hours later, dark has fallen, they are still cleaning up, and only now are they preparing to depart.
